Meet the Deaf Pastor

Our Pastor

Rev. Del Granger serves as the associate pastor for the deaf congregation of Crossroads Community Baptist Church. He leads the deaf Sunday School at 11:00 AM, and joins in worship with them at the 9:30 AM services on Sunday mornings. Rev. Del also leads a Bible study every Monday night at 7:00 PM, and he is also available for consulting.

A message from our Pastor…

Every month, Pastor Del writes a message titled "From the Pastor's Heart" for the Lighthouse Chapel of the Deaf newsletter. From the Pastor's Heart is reprinted with permission from the January, 2006 edition of God's Hands. This is a monthly publication of Lighthouse Chapel of the Deaf. Pastor Del Granger is the Pastor for the Deaf congregation at CCBC and also for the Lighthouse Chapel of the Deaf located at 4226 East Atherton Road, Burton, MI 48519.

The Beatitudes

Matthew 5:3-12 NIV

3"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

5"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

6"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

7"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

8"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

9"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

10"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

12"Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

In these verses, we find the word "Blessed." It means hope and joy.

Let's keep our spirits up, comfort each other, pray for each other. Let's keep the Beatitudes in our daily life.
