CCBC Deaf News for the Week of August 30, 2010

Just a reminder that we will not have Monday Night Bible Study on September 6, Labor Day. We will have Bible study on Monday, September 13.

On Monday night Pastor Del, Andy, Deb C., Zelma, Lee, Miesha, Christina, Neika, Jamilah and Ellen came together for fellowship, prayer, Bible study and worship. Welcome to our four visitors!

Continue to pray for the Senior Pastor Search Team. They are working for us to find a replacement for Pastor Paul Arnold.

We will have FACT (our potluck lunch) on Sunday, September 5. Please bring some food to share for our potluck lunch.

The new season of Deaf Cafe begins on Saturday, September 11.

The CCBC churchwide picnic is coming up soon. It will be on September 12 at Montibeller Park.
The church is asking that you let them know if you plan to come to picnic. You can let the church know this Sunday by checking it off on the tear-off section of the Sunday bulletin or you can e-mail Shaheen at crossroads@peopleplace.org or you can e-mail Ellen at Ellenhg@aol.com and she will let Shaheen know you plan to come to the picnic. They just need to know how many people are coming so they can order enough chicken. Thanks!

Here is the YouTube link of Ruth Bruffey presenting her song, Time Ready Come. You will be blessed and inspired!

Remember to keep saving your Campbell's labels for the Deaf School in Puerto Rico.

Remember to continue saving your Campbell’s labels.  The Deaf School in Puerto Rico is saving labels with the goal of
being able to ‘buy’ a van.  Yes, that is a big goal!  They need 1,500,000 labels to do that, but with the help of churches all over the , that goal can happen!  So to help you see how much we are helping, each week the total number of labels sent off since August 24, 2005, will be listed.  We have been sending labels for several years, but have not kept a total.

Hopefully, seeing the total number of labels needed compared to the number of labels we have sent will encourage you to save your Campbell’s labels.  Thank you for your support in this mission project!

0 new Campbell's points sent off this week
Total number of Campbell's labels sent off in 2009 is 1,785
Total number of Campbell's labels sent off in 2010 is 1,028

You can visit the Labels for Education web site if you would like more information on what to be saving.

Have you wondered why we ask everyone to save Campbell’s labels? We are saving them for the Deaf School in
Puerto Rico.  Their goal is to save enough labels/UPCs/lids to be able to 'buy' a van.  So, if you are not already
saving Campbell’s labels/UPCs/lids for your child's school, please consider saving them for the Deaf kids in Puerto Rico.  You
can bring your entire labels and lids to CCBC or any MiBCD meeting, or mail them yourself to the national collection person:
